Jim Younger's violin, played by him during his 1876-1901 incarceration at
Stillwater Prison, was restored by Frank Younger in 1997. Evelyn Hall
performs period pieces on Jim's violin, with Matt Audette performing the
vocals and guitar. As well as can be determined, this is the first time
the violin has been played to any extent since its time in Stillwater.
This recording was produced by Mr. Wilbur Zink, noted Younger family historian, and production was coordinated by Frank Younger. A generous grant from the Friends of the Youngers made this work possible. Artwork is by Don Moffatt from www.starrymc.com The music was recorded in March 1999 by Mr. David Nichols at Living Head Studio, Phoenix, Arizona.
Check out the sample MP3 recording of track 4. The actual CD sounds better (of course).
