Finally after two missed OSG meetings,
due to sickness, we got back to ROV business! First, we talked
about the new motor controller that we ordered. Now we have
three controllers. One controls the z-axis motors, another controls
the x-y axis motors, and the last one controls The Sucker’s
three bilge pump motors.
Then Sarah and Virginia filed down the
kort nozzles that I had previously sawed. Meanwhile, I measured
the pipe that will protect the wires leaving the thrusters.
Near the end of our meeting we cracked
the ice (it was five centimetres thick!) on our test tank and
tested The Sucker again. When The Sucker is on
full force it draws 18 amps and boy, is it powerful!
