Welcome to Canada!

Confederation Bridge

The bridge spans 12.9 kilometres and is the longest to cross ice-covered waters. It links Prince Edward Island with the mainland and it costs $4 to walk it and $8 to bike. A car will cost you $42.50

Anne of Green Gables House

The farm once belonged to David and Margaret Macneill, cousins of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s grandfather. Today, people from around the world visit “Anne’s” house on Prince Edward Island.

Giant Brick

We don’t know much about this attraction either, other than that yes, indeed, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia you can hang out near a giant brick.

Pier 21

More than a million immigrants came to Canada through Pier 21 — the “Gateway to Canada” starting in 1928. The Pier was closed in 1971 and it’s now a museum.

Giant Whale Head

Whaling was an important industry to small towns in Newfoundland. What better way to honour their heritage than with a giant wooden humpback whale’s head?

L’Anse aux Meadows

The Vikings landed in North America long before Columbus. This site in Newfoundland proves it! Archaeologists found the remains of houses, tools, and everyday living items.
